A computer is defined as a device that can be programmed to perform a set of logical and arithmetic operations. As technology grows exponentially, many believe that in the near future it will gain its own consciousness, becoming a fetish; but how can we give a machine something that we, its creators, cannot even understand? Improving the physical, psychological and intellectual capabilities of humans through technology will not improve society. The capability of technology is determined by the knowledge of its creators; therefore, it can never surpass our impeccable abilities. Today, many who idolize technology do not realize that they possess an attribute far more powerful than any technological device. Computers, although complete charlatans, are incredibly fast; if asked to add from one to a million, a person will take a long time, whereas a computer will be able to do it in a thousandth of a second.
