  • Essay / Fatal Attraction Movie Analysis - 1588

Antisocial behavior often begins in early adolescence or childhood and continues into adult life (American Psychiatric Association, 2013). Alex demonstrates a disregard for social norms by engaging in an affair with a married man, then stalking the same man and performing acts that could warrant arrest. She kills her child's pet rabbit, pours acid on her car, and even kidnaps her child. She is irritable and aggressive towards Dan, and even towards Mrs. Gallagher at the end of the film when she attacks him in the bathroom of the Gallagher house. This brutal attack proves that she has little concern for her own safety and that of others. She also shows no remorse for the harm she causes Dan and those close to him.
