  • Essay / Analysis of how different people use technology

What type of cell phone do you have? Does it have Internet, text messages with pictures, games and a touch screen? Many people ask their friends questions like these all the time. They text as fast as bubble gum and pass along so many jokes. Nowadays people send messages like lol just to tell you they're laughing. Technology is an ever-changing wave toward the future. People have so many electronic devices for so many things. Technology is great for medicine because it helps save lives. In the past, people walked to the store and carried their groceries home. Now we drive our car and pick them up. The time and effort required to accomplish these things would not compare to the time required to achieve them in the past. Many people enjoy playing video games at home, but in the past, people spent their time outside playing games. From generation to generation, children and adults enjoy different things in life thanks to technology. Say no to plagiarism. People use technology to go to work, learn about an investment, and stay in touch with family. Some people may use technology because it is affordable for them and provides benefits to them. The people you will hear from in this report are different in many ways. Some families rely on technology and others not at all. In this report, I will discuss both aspects of technology as well as each individual's stage of development. You'll be able to see how technology affects some people at their age and discuss their parents' backgrounds. Technology is interesting and entertaining and who doesn't love enjoying a good show on TV? Not everyone is as interested in television, so I'm going to cover some interesting points about technology. From country to country, technology is different, as is culture. There are good and bad things in the past and maybe in the future. Technology has affected these three people and I believe it will affect them in the future. The three people are Elaina, Michelle and Steven. The order is adolescence, early adulthood, and middle adulthood. I asked my sister Elaina “how do you communicate with your friends?” She told me she messages her friends on her phone, calls them, tweets, MySpace, IM, Facebook and Moco Space. The whole time she was talking with me, she was playing with her phone and iPod. She mentioned that she doesn't walk to her friend's house and usually gets rides to her friends' houses. She and her sister Peaches were texting their friends while we talked and laughed. The next question I asked Elaina was “How has technology changed medicine?” » She talked about things at the hospital that check your pulse and air things on your arm. I believe she thought these were advances in medicine rather than having to do it manually in the past. She spoke about prosthetic legs and arms and how they help people with disabilities. I talk to him about technology and ask him how it changes his daily activities. She said “it radically changed her daily activities.” She felt she was growing up in a middle-income family andthat there wasn't a lot of crime in the neighborhood. I asked Elaina, “What was something you used in the past, but you no longer use it from a technology standpoint?” » It took her a minute to think of a CD player, but ultimately that's all she thought of. Talking about the past and the future, she felt that technology was a good thing in the past, but she sees it as a bad thing in the future. She thinks technology is a good thing and a bad thing, and gave several reasons. She said “it helps people who are blind, overweight and people with addictions.” Other good reasons are that information is easier to obtain, especially online, and you can listen to music on a cell phone. She was able to see some interesting changes in our society and how much it affected her days in her life. I believe this will continue as technology evolves year after year. Every person's culture is different, which depends on their daily use of technology. My wife has experienced similar things in her life as my sister. Elaina sees technology one way now and might see it another way later. I know she laughs and plays like a child sometimes and also immature at times. Her development changes as she tries to find her role in life. In Erikson's theory, she has reached the stage of confusion between her identity and her role. My wife Michelle uses a lot of things similar to my sister's to communicate. She uses texting and email online and on the phone. She thinks there is a lot of medicine in technology. You can now see a 4D image of the child inside the mother during pregnancy, she mentioned. She is able to call and use her home computer to do things or get information for homework during her daily activities. This helps to accomplish activities more quickly. A throwback moment for her is when I ask her what she used in the past that she doesn't use anymore? She was talking with her pager which was pink and it was very little. She felt like her parents grew up below average, but that didn't contribute to their stress levels. She believes that personal relationships were stronger in the past than they are today because texting has replaced some physical communication. In the future, she believes technology will be used for bad purposes. Technology is something she sees as a good thing and a terrible thing depending on the situation. Michelle may be using technology now, but will she use it in the future? I don't know if it will or what it will do, but I believe the technology will change in the future. I know my wife had a MySpace account and commented on her friends in the past. She was looking for companionship in the past and had many friends. Today, she no longer has a MySpace account and feels isolated. In Erikson's stadium, she's been on both sides of the spectrum. She felt the intimacy side and the isolation side. She prefers more the intimacy side. Day by day we experience new things in our life and we develop at different times. My father has seen many things in his life that have changed over time. He shared some interesting opinions with me on technology and expressed his beliefs on these issues. My dad lives in Washington state and his name is Steven. My father uses cell phone, computer, camera and internet. He enjoys it all year round. Personally, I know he likes to drive his..
