Occupational Stress ForewordOccupational stress is one of the most common forms of stress that every person experiences in their life, but unlike other types, it is like a nail that continues to be hammered in over and over again. There are many professions in which stress becomes a major factor in a job and often people like to move to important jobs like healthcare professions and engineers due to the high pressure situations where lives are often at stake but another may be just as detrimental to their work. workers and it's retail. Retail workers have one of the most stressful jobs due to the many changes within businesses and the constant interactions with customers and even supervisors. Using the sources provided, we will examine how employment in retail can cause stress both for people in and out of the profession. I will interview two workers in this field and attempt to dissect their opinions on stress, then compare and contrast the two. points of view, then I then expressed my thoughts and compared this to the statements from the interview. Ultimately, the stress of having to work in retail will be delved into to prove that it is one of the most stressful jobs out there. Defining Stress “Workbook” (Seaward, 2012) there are some major stressors such as work factors, physical environment, workplace changes and organizational practices. Excessive hours and unreasonable demands create unnecessary stress on the job, then increased traffic creates more noise, making the worker environment more stressful.
