Essay / The Pros and Cons of the 4th Amendment - 1097
The government could barge into your house and do whatever it wanted for no reason. In countries where it is legal for law enforcement and government to conduct searches without just cause, people are afraid of everyday life. The 4th Amendment should never be violated. As immigrants leave their countries abroad to become U.S. citizens, America must remain as free as possible to ensure that its citizens feel safe. This amendment is important because it regularly requires the government to follow and obey a clear standard for the privacy of Americans and the idea that we are always innocent until proven guilty, and that our privacy is protected above all until there are reasonable grounds.
