    I agree with this because in my experience a parent is usually not willing to work with you until you can make them understand that you care about her child. So building trust is the first thing. Then the article talks about recruiting their contribution. I also recognize that this is a very important step in establishing the learning outcomes that they can or have the ability to work on one. Additionally, some parents may be unhappy if they feel that they are not participating in their child's education. Then, the third step that this article talks about is individualization. I must say that this is also very important. Everyone is different and when it comes to someone with special needs, the whole situation can depend on how you approach it. So as a teacher if you approach them wrong or try to generalize how you are going to teach them then things will be fine.
