    1.0 Introduction1.1 BackgroundAdvertising is generally defined as the act of persuading people about its services or product. The Coca-Cola Company, founded in 1886, is one of the oldest brands in the world. This is partly due to their ability to promote their products through effective advertising and marketing. With initial sales of a modest average of nine servings per day in Atlanta, it is estimated that 1.9 billion Coca-Cola drinks are now consumed worldwide.1.2 Literature reviewThe researcher had numerous references to to further develop research. A book called Write To Sell, The Ultimate Guide To Great Copywriting (Andy Maslen, 2007) provided new ways to get readers' attention, response, and trust, as well as tips for turning sales skills into business writing skills. The book provided some theories about the graphology used in typing. One of the books that the researcher also referred to was The Language of Advertising (Torben Vestergaard and Kim Schorder). Furthermore, the research was also carried out with reference to the book Advertisement Writing (Frank Jefkins, 1976)1.3 Research ObjectiveThis research studies the elements used in Coca-Cola advertisements over the years and how they managed to influence the society to consume the drinks they produce. The researcher chose to specifically study the Coca-Cola Company because it is one of the most successful companies that has survived for over a century.1.4 Research QuestionsThe researcher limited his research to 2 main questions: question of research 1: what is the lexicon used for Coca-Cola company advertising?
