  • Essay / Animation within Animation: The History of Animation

These 4 topics are what primarily makes an animation. Audio is a very important element in an animation for the character's speech. (1) The sound must be in sync with the subject of the animation; especially what the characters say. (2) Once the audio is recorded, it must be broken down to know when the character begins and ends a conversation. This is mostly decided by an editor and then marked frame by frame. These marks are then notified when a sound changes in the film. Once the audio is edited, storyboarding can begin. The storyboard is the outline of the animation. It is mainly used to know what the audio will sound like with the scene: which is a similarity to a comic book. This is useful for editing and deleting scenes before animating them and therefore saving them.
