(Smith, 2001)To avoid employee disengagement, Dunn must develop communication skills with employees by creating a new culture of engagement to increase the sense of belonging , motivation and employee engagement. (Gilbert, 2005)Within the new organizational identity, each department will have a team leader responsible for employee training. Team Leaders will be the most qualified employees in each department, willing to complete a two-week program to enable them to train others to be effective in all aspects of each organization. Employees will work with Team Leaders on a 3 shift schedule that alternates between the Ski Shop and Deli Store to be trained in all aspects of both businesses.
