Essay / History and need for Ilm-Ul-Usul. - 995
Allah (SWT) created humanity and gave them an intellect. Man has been left free to choose his own goal, his own way of life, which will lead him either to the right path, the path of obedience to Allah (SWT), or to the path of misery, the path of disobedience and sin against Allah. (SWT).Allah (SWT) has sent a set of “Sharia” laws for humanity to follow. Submission is unconditional obedience to Allah (SWT) and it is our duty to follow Islamic laws. A believer of Allah (SWT) submitting to the religion of Allah (SWT) Islam knows that for every action he performs in this world, he is responsible to his Creator. A slave of Allah (SWT) must therefore understand the laws of Islam (Sharia) in order to lead a life accordingly, which is acceptable to his Creator. He must therefore be able, in his personal practical life as well as in his relationships with others, to know the Islamic laws to be able to know what one should do and not do in all the circumstances in which he finds himself. to be able to know all this, one must have complete knowledge of Islamic laws. One must know what pleases Allah (SWT) and what causes his displeasure. If the laws of Islam had been clear and easy to understand as to what is obligatory, prohibited and permitted, it would have been very easy for everyone to lead their lives as they please. It is very difficult for a layman to make a choice. decision based on understanding of Islamic law. Sometimes the laws seem complicated and we need guidance in such cases. During the time of the Holy Prophet (SAW), people living nearby used to hear the laws directly from the Holy Prophet (SAW) and fully understand their texts. The family and companions of the Holy Prophet (SAW) observed it. They shared with others exactly what they had seen in the words and behavior of the Holy Prophet (SAW). For example, how he performed ablution, how he prayed, and how he performed other acts of worship. If they had any questions, they did not have to question the law because it came directly from the Holy Prophet (SAW) whose veracity there was no doubt..
