  • Essay / The Magnificent Mysteries of the Theater - 738

“The whole world is a stage, and all the men and women are only actors: they have their exits and their entrances; and a man in his time plays many roles, his deeds spanning seven ages. This is a famous quote from the great Shakespeare. He was trying to say that we go through life and when we leave our stage is when a person dies and starts their new show somewhere else. Shakespeare was in a way (say what you have confirmed) the godfather of theater. He created some wonderful works of art and they are still very popular to this day. One of his best-known plays is a play about a young couple who fall in love but are separated by their families. The only way they could be together would be if the girl took a potion that would make her appear dead. But (but don't start a sentence.) the idea didn't turn out the way they planned. They (who are they?) forgot to tell the young man and when he visited her grave, he committed suicide, and the girl had to live alone, without her true love. This is the type of play that Shakespeare created to captivate audiences and keep them coming to all his performances. He really made it difficult for other authors to do anything about his artwork. Shakespeare has been creating plays since the 1590s, but still inspires many of his plays today (add an s) like Romeo and Juliet (capitalize the title) and some of them have become timeless classics. The costumes they used in the plays were very different from what they do now. What is not widely known about older plays is that the men actually played both roles (let's say the male and female roles resemble both of their characters) and they simply wore a mask to cover manly features like facial hair. In today's theater, the roles are... middle of paper...... it's totally, you feel me? “Good night, good night!” Parting is such a sweet sorrow that I will say good night to you until tomorrow. it's a quote from Shakespeare, he says it's a good kind of pain when parting but the pain still hurts a little and he will wish you good night until morning. (I like your concluding paragraph, I just think it needs a closing sentence.) Works Cited (2014). Succeed in your audition.
