    One year into my environmental transformation, I will eat as much local food as possible. It will be imperative that I only purchase grass-fed, free-range and organic meats. It will be harder to adjust to maintaining these eating habits simply because I will be limiting myself to seasonal fruits and vegetables at the farmers market. Switching to local foods will help me monitor my intake because I will plan my meals in advance so I only buy what I need. Becoming aware of my waste will help me reduce it as much as possible while trying to transition to a zero waste lifestyle. At this point, I'm already going to make as many of my own products as possible while continuing to use reusable cutlery. I will also be a passionate recycler to help reduce my waste. At this point in my life, I plan to walk to accessible places, take public transportation, and use my car only when necessary. This will be really difficult to follow as it is convenient to use my car when I need to go somewhere. The shift to public transportation will be difficult, but the need for change is significant. Since I discovered vampire energy, a year later, I will only use the energy when necessary. Everything except my major appliances will be unplugged when not in use.
