What percentage of people play video games?4. What happens to you if you play video games that contain violence? My project is about violence in games and how it affects the minds of young people. I think I will discover a lot about how it affects and changes a young adult. I believe that it is absolutely necessary to change a young person. I think that violence in games will probably help keep young people off the streets. This should help improve a child's behavior and develop character. In 2008, a study was carried out on violence in games. In the United States, 97% of children aged 12 to 17 played video games. People say playing video games causes school shootings. Violent video games increase bullying. A study shows that playing video games leads people to live very violent and criminal lives. A study shows that 39% of boys who play Grand Theft Auto are bullies, compared to 60% of boys who don't play video games. A study also shows an increase in violence in video games because they are rewarded for their violence. There are so many violent video games that it's hard to find a game without all the violence. If we don't change the game of our young people, they may not have a future. Some people think that video games keep children off the streets. People don't know that video games are what young monkeys do the most. You put your child in front of a violent video game, they will remember something from that game, whether it is good or not, they will learn something from that game. Parents, if you are concerned about the type of game your child is playing, you should check the violence...... middle of paper ...... Watching violent video games can make children become killers, etc. The games are not good for children, because of all the violence, children bring guns to school thinking it's ok. Children will watch a game and copy everything from it. Children don't know any better, they think of everything. Teenagers would play games all day until one day they would lose their minds, get a gun and kill everyone around them or it was in their way. Game creators really shouldn't make violent games for these reasons, they don't think a game can harm anyone's life. THINK AGAIN! The games are really dangerous. The game makers think this game can't do anything, it can't really mess with a child's mind and besides they can't get them anyway, it's rated R. A parent would still get a Rated R game for a child if that child or teenager is spoiled. Games consist of shooting, swearing, fighting, stabbing, killing, etc...
