Henry's first real experience of his life came when he was 21, in 1415, when he, his brothers and his father attacked the Muslim port of Ceuta on the North African coast. It was a tradition for nobles to prove their courage and what they are worth. After this attack, Henry began to think more and more and think about navigation. The attack on Ceuta sparked Henry's interest in navigation and sailing and this is what led him later in life to try to achieve his goals. From the age of 21, Henry had an interest in sailing and that started his career. After the attack on Ceuta, Henry became increasingly interested in navigation. Since then, he has been fascinated by Morocco. Henry's real goals were to find a way around Africa to Asia, establish a navigation school, and discover the priest's Christian empire...... middle of paper .... .. a new territory and has never been discovered. During the Age of Exploration, Henry had many huge impacts and it would always have been the same. Henry the Navigator did many great things and they should be remembered. From the age of 21 when he joined his siblings and father and participated in his first fight until his death. His navigation school was very important and helped many others. Even when he sponsored all these expeditions that gave others a purpose and a chance to sail and travel, to try to find new places. Whether they made discoveries or came back with nothing, it gave them a purpose. The age of exploration and history would have been very different if Henry the Navigator had taken a different path. Henry the Navigator may not have left his own country much, but he certainly contributed to the lives of many people in Europe, and to history too..
