The consensus is that film photography disappeared with the emergence of affordable digital media. Countless comparisons have been made between the two formats to see which one better reproduces the more realistic representation. The key element that makes an image captivating is left out when people compare technical specifications alone. Photography isn't just about pressing a button and flipping through a memory card to find a winner. It's about creating an image that expresses a vision at a decisive moment. Digital and film media each have their place in photography. However, neither can replace the creative eye. As the great modern photographer Lisette Model once said: “Photography is the easiest art, which perhaps makes it the most difficult.” » She had no idea how easy exotic effects would be and how difficult it would be to capture beauty and truth in the same photograph (Plagens). The world has changed dramatically in recent decades. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning to the moment we close our eyes at night, technology is influenced. We have become a society increasingly dependent on technology to automate the simplest tasks. Our current population is notorious for panicking at the first sign of anything outside the comfort bubble. It would be very difficult to say that today's generation is more productive because of the efficiency that technology brings to our lives. Are we getting more done in a day than the generation before us? There may be a right answer to this question, but this brings another to mind. Has our generation become too dependent on technology to understand the personal connection we build from the creative process? People...... middle of paper ...... e if you choose to adopt it. A moment spent becomes nothing more than a memory, so don't forget to embrace that moment with a photo.
