Think of just one word to describe Johnny Depp. It's hard, isn't it? Johnny Depp is an actor who brings such an electrifying presence to the big screen as no other actor has before. This is mainly due to the many characters he has portrayed throughout his acting career. His characters range from dark and scary to hilarious and downright bizarre, and his ability to transform into anyone and create such dark and strange characters is incredibly remarkable. While many actors only stick to what suits them, Johnny Depp is able to go above and beyond with every role he is given. Actors like Jennifer Aniston or Adam Sandler tend to have very similar characters in each role they play (D'Arpino 2). We often know what to expect from them. Johnny Depp, on the other hand, is capable of always surprising his audience and leaving them on the edge of their seat. Three films that truly show Johnny Depp's true dedication to method acting and wide range of characters throughout his career are Edward Scissorhands, Don Juan de Marco and Pirates of the Caribbean. His roles in these films are very different and show his ability to explore and develop varied characters. This is what makes him the amazing and eccentric actor he is today. Johnny Depp had a very difficult and disorganized childhood. At the age of 16, he dropped out of high school to join a trash band, The Kids (Linden 1).
