Being Jehovah's WitnessJehovah's Witnesses. What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear this name? Preachers? Church residents? “The kingdom”? This is what many people think of first in the world, but you may also have thought of: the Bible. Maybe it's because you know that all of the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses come from the Bible. The Bible is the foundation of religion. Living the life of a Jehovah's Witness is one of the most fulfilling ways to live your life. Many argue that the Bible is obsolete and useless for humans today. However, this is not the case. The Bible is essentially the guide to living a perfect and happy life, and just as you would need to read some sort of manual before building a product, you should also read the Bible for guidance on your own life. This is what Jehovah's Witnesses do their best, although it is not easy because all humans are imperfect. Some biblical principles deal with family life, work habits, and relationships with others. They apply to everyone and his advice is always beneficial. Many who say that the Bible is of no use and a waste of time have not read it or tried to live by its standards, and therefore do not fully know it. It is impossible to fully understand what it feels like to live according to biblical standards unless you have tried it yourself. It is impossible to fully understand what it feels like to be a Jehovah's Witness unless you have adopted this lifestyle. Many people believe that Jehovah's Witnesses pride themselves on their differences in morals and standards. For example, many find it hard to believe that they don't celebrate Christmas, birthdays, or any other festive holiday. Many don't understand what's wrong with standing up for O Canada or singing the anthems of another country. The fact is that there are a number of festive holidays that people around the world celebrate that they may or may not know have pagan origins, or are obviously based on its influences. For Jehovah's Witnesses, it is very important to stay away from these kinds of celebrations because they feel that it is a necessity to worship God with all their soul and in the way He desires. This would not be possible by participating in celebrations that have pagan origins...
