    PROBLEM STATEMENTIn Malaysia, sexual activities among unmarried adolescents are increasing. Being an officially Islamic country that practices Eastern values, this is certainly a major concern. Just before dawn on New Year's Eve 2010, Spak, K. (2014) reported that Malaysian morality police apprehended 52 unmarried Muslim couples, most of whom were still students. Worse still, the number of premarital teenage pregnancies is also alarming. From January to March 2013, Shah, A. (2014) stated that Malaysia recorded a number of 1,048 premarital teenage pregnancies. In simpler calculations, this means that there were an average of 12 teenage pregnancies per day. Western cultural imperialism, reinforced by uncensored material in the media and on the Internet, plays a significant role in increasing these numbers in Malaysia's eastern culture. Shah, A. (2014) further cited Dr. Nik Rubiah who suggested that communication among family members about sex education goes a long way in reducing the problem.
