    This design works great for our students because they have plenty of space to work as a team. The teacher allows students to discuss among themselves when they have to do exercises; therefore, the tables work perfectly for this setup. Students can talk to each other by raising their voices. Additionally, students spend a lot of time on the mat and this configuration provides enough space for all students to sit on it. There is also enough space for everyone to see the board from the mat as well as from their desk, which is important for their learning as the teacher does most of their teaching from this location. There is sufficient space between tables and chairs; therefore, when students attend centers, they have ample space to rotate. Students can also move freely between classes and from one activity to another. The only thing missing in this room is that the table near the smart board is far away, because the teacher has to move the two students sitting nearby when she uses the board.
