These professional bodies achieve continuous improvement and development of their members through professional examinations, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), seminars and courses short-term. Therefore, this CPD portfolio would be in line with the APM guidelines and requirements for my future professional development in the field of project management. Based on Friedman et al's (2005) assertion that CPD is a personal professional commitment that helps individuals achieve their career goal, this CPD portfolio is therefore designed to critically assess my current knowledge and experience in project management. It will also present my future career development plan in my specific area of interest and my professional journey in the field of project management. 1.1 CPD IN CONTEXTSAccording to (Collin et al 2012), CPD is a diverse and multifaceted subject as all formal and informal learning and development within and outside their workplace can be termed as CPD.
