    Ethics is a very broad subject; it can be special or general. A particular ethic is added when you have a license. In our class, we discussed the need to take an oath in certain careers. For example, when a person becomes a doctor, they must take the Hippocratic Oath. The oath basically says that they must treat the sick as best they can, maintain the patient's privacy, etc. This is special due to the fact that not everyone is required to take this oath. General ethics focuses on a person's morals. When we combine ethics and relative, it becomes ethical relativism. Which is defined as there being no moral right or wrong, that what is right or wrong is linked to our social norms. People's morals change over time, as I mentioned earlier in the essay. With every ethical question, there are negatives and positives about how to answer it. If ethics were to be relative, then I could cite an example: it will adapt to our new social norms. On the other hand, I believe this will be the case
