    Traditional Chinese MedicineChina, as a nation, has contributed to the development of society in many ways and has pioneered the global trade market since opening its doors. China developed religion, with the doctrines of Buddhism, Confucius and Taoism; technology with the development of gunpowder and the compass; and world trade, with silk and tea products. Yet China's contributions to the medical field are often overlooked. The practice of traditional Chinese medicine has developed in China and is undoubtedly one of China's greatest achievements. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history of importance in China, incorporates Chinese culture and beliefs, and is still important in China and other countries today. Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history in China. The first examples of primitive forms of medicine were discovered in the earliest ages of human development. In early primitive culture, traditional Chinese medicine began to develop with the first experiments with cures for common illnesses. An oral record of various roots and plants contributing to healing began to be established. Additionally, early humans discovered the benefits of pressure on certain parts of the body, which led to the development of acupuncture as well as the benefits of heat, which led to the development of the practice of moxibustion. The first written record of traditional Chinese medicine is the Hung-Di Nei-Jing (Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine). The document dates back to between 800 and 200 BC and is one of the oldest medical documents in the world. The document explains important aspects of traditional Chinese medicine like prevention, diagnosis, treatments...... middle of paper ......icine, I couldn't even fit all my information in. Another challenge I faced was trying to understand what qi was because the definition was a bit confusing. I thought one of the strengths of the project was that by being able to choose a topic myself, I was able to find something of interest to me, which made the research more enjoyable.
