Living with SchizophreniaAt some point, a human may have a parent, or hear from someone, or even have the experience of having schizophrenia themselves. Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that affects many humans around the world. People living with this mental disorder may depend on a family member or loved one to care for them. Some people have a high chance of inheriting schizophrenia if a family member appears to have a history of this mental disorder. Unlike others, they can develop this psychotic disorder as they grow up. For example, a young woman or man may begin to exhibit certain signs or symptoms during their teenage years. Unfortunately, I have a brother who inherited schizophrenia and it is extremely difficult to deal with him at times. Schizophrenia is a serious mental illness that affects many people. This psychotic disorder mainly affects the human brain. A person living with this mental illness exhibits several symptoms as well as signs. So, an individual relies on a loved one or someone they feel comfortable with to watch over them. People suffering from schizophrenia are generally called schizophrenics. Many people have difficulty accepting that they have been diagnosed with schizophrenia. This mental disorder mainly affects a person's state of mind as well as their personality. Schizophrenia affects both men and women of all ages and races. But young men in early adolescence are more affected by this psychotic illness than young women. An individual's brain works differently from a normal human's mind. There are many symptoms and signs that a person has schizophrenia. However, many humans living with schizophrenia might reach the limit of needing to be admitted to a psychiatric hospital due to the individual's loss of control. When a patient is admitted to a psychiatric hospital, it depends on their health condition to determine the length of their stay. Usually, the sick person is evaluated by a doctor once a week to see if he or she has made progress in the days after consuming the appropriate medications. The patient is then referred to therapy so that he can improve his schizophrenia. A social worker usually communicates with the family regarding the problem with the patient such as behavior, emotions, behavior, etc...
