  • Essay / The Causes and Effects of the Earthquake - 790

Anyone can be a hero, even if they don't fight super villains with their special powers. Sometimes being there to help in times of need can qualify someone as a hero. When an earthquake occurs, considerable efforts are required to repair the social, economic and environmental damage caused by this disaster; However, former veterans help countries in need through donations, care packages, and necessary medical care. An earthquake can instantly have harmful consequences on the population, image and overall wealth of a city or country. Earthquakes can affect people in many ways, including the loss of friends or family members. Homes, means of transportation and communications devices can be destroyed. Even though an earthquake can cause a colossal blow to a country, which may seem irreparable, Jake Wood and the Rubicon team have managed to significantly improve the conditions of Haiti and those in distress. Four years after the disastrous earthquake, Haiti is not only well recovered from the disaster, but in better shape than it was even before the country was ravaged..
