INTRODUCTIONAgricultural agriculture is an agricultural process in which the farmer chooses a particular type of agricultural practices, which can be broadly classified into subsistence and commercial agriculture. The type of agricultural practice chosen by an individual, however, does not only depend on geographic location, which is a function of the culture, education, technology and income of the population. The majority of small farmers in the Maqadini region face poverty, because according to the International Encyclopedia of Economics, "poverty is defined as a condition faced by families and individuals who fail to receive a income sufficient to meet their basic needs”, in other words, a condition of material deprivation (Petty, J, Morison, RE and Hinc,R.2003). It can be said that this rural area faces a big problem due to the lack of social services and infrastructure, which can be linked to poverty. In Maqadini, local food is produced by small farmers who cultivate small plots of land based on rainfall rather than rainfall. The irrigation system and the rainy season usually take a while for it to rain. Surveys across the country indicate that both sexes (women and men) “farmers cultivate less than one hectare per household and a high proportion of the rural population also suffers from malnutrition and nutrition-related diseases. » (World Bank, 1996). Other problems are the road network which is one of the least developed and most roads become inaccessible during rainy days, so unreliable distribution forces farmers to grow their own food and fewer perishables. causing a drop in productivity. Crop yield becomes low because farmers lack inputs such as fertilizers and farmers face decline...... middle of paper ...... stalks and breeding practices. a decline in soil fertility resulting in a low level of agricultural production (due to lack of inputs needed to compensate such as fertilizers) and therefore food becomes scarce due to the pressures of increasing population, a low level of livestock productivity (caused by lack of vaccination) and farmers only have access to small plots of land to cultivate, reducing the profitability of producing food crops for markets.
