  • Essay / Persuasive Essay on Euthanasia - 1068

There is only one thing in life that we are promised in life and that is death. So why rush death. Euthanasia is a form of suicide practiced by doctors or requested by the patient. I don't think doctors should give this medication to anyone or anything that is breathing. I believe in miracles, that is to say that a person can be saved before resorting to euthanasia. Euthanasia should be the last resort considered for a patient near death. I don't think doctors should suggest it or imply it to the patient. Doctors should not give this medication to humans or even animals. Additionally, doctors should definitely not give it to babies, children, or adults with special needs. Because they are very innocent and have no choice like people without special needs. Euthanasia began around the 16th century. From a historical perspective, the issue of euthanasia has existed as long as the history of medicine. Certainly, in ancient times it was common for doctors to kill their patients with various toxic preparations, which caused enormous problems in terms of medical practice (ProCon). Historically, it would appear that the issue of euthanasia did not become a serious issue again until relatively modern times, when two Germans published a book in 1920 entitled "Liberation from the Destruction of Valueless Life." The authors were Dr. Karl Binding. The arguments they used are exactly the same as those used today, namely that of compassion. They said it was barbaric that a person should die of pain; that it is permissible to shorten the act of dying and that people have the right to die with dignity(). Euthanasia occurs and has occurred primarily in North America, Europe, and Australia. The term euthanasia...... middle of paper ......the which may possibly take place. Additionally, it is a sin to commit suicide in any form. No matter how painful it may be in a hospital bed or wherever you are, I think you should die naturally. God calls you to Himself whenever He is ready for you to be with Him. Most people who have near-death experiences use this time of the last days to draw closer to their God, to make peace with themselves and with God. It is very risky to get rid of euthanasia for those who believe there should be euthanasia. They may argue that if the patient dies a painful death, they could help them by making it much easier to die. When in reality they are saying to kill the patient, no matter how quickly things can improve by the grace of God. If I experienced this situation, I would not want to commit suicide, but I would wait to be called to heaven..
