My family never thought that an event like a theft could happen to us. Someone who was one of us was so greedy that he took my grandparents' savings. It changed our lives for several months and still makes me nauseous when I think about it. I remember the day the police sat us down and prepared us for what was to come, when the investigation became disturbing and distressing, and the relief we felt after he was found guilty. This event has impacted my family forever, especially my grandparents, and will continually be brought up in conversations. When a person's morality goes away and greed enters, they will go to extremes to get what they want.
