Essay / t Jungle has not been studied in academic circles simply because it is a novel about a lesbian who feels no shame or guilt about her sexuality. That's only part of the problem, it's not the only reason Brown's first novel isn't discussed. Even though Molly Bolt is a lesbian and proud of it, other lesbians aren't so proud of her and what she represents. Rubyfruit ...... middle of paper ...... unit still often ignored in the literature.
