    Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. Thomas Edison was one of the most famous American inventors and businessmen of the 19th century. He invented many great and remarkable devices during this period. His most famous inventions such as the phonograph, the motion picture camera and the incandescent electric light bulb. These inventions have a great influence throughout the world; his inventions also improve society. Throughout his life, Thomas Edison created more than 2,000 inventions and acquired 1,093 patents in the United States. Thomas Edison also became a successful businessman. He makes his inventions and sells them on the markets. Thomas Edison's father was Samuel Ogden Edison. Samuel Edison livedMany people came to see the phonograph display. In 1878, Thomas Edison began expanding his invention factory and also built a store behind the laboratory. He could thus sell his inventions to the public. Later, Thomas Edison continued his other inventions. He begins to study how to create a light bulb that can stay on longer. Before Thomas Edison started making the light bulb, other inventors were working on it, but no one can let the light bulb work any longer. Finally, on October 21, 1879, Thomas Edison's light bulbs were able to operate continuously for forty hours. Thomas Edison and his team attempted to use the incandescent light bulb in the laboratory and at home. In 1880, Thomas Edison believed that incandescent light bulbs could be produced and sold to the public. He also founded the Edison Electric Light Company to find a way to use electricity to light incandescent light bulbs. In 1882, Thomas Edison used his incandescent light bulb in every office building and home on Pearl Street. Many people came to Pearl Street and saw that the entire building and houses were lit with electricity. It became a great achievement in the life of Thomas Edison.
