Dyslexia is a condition common among ten to fifteen percent of people in the United States, where a human being has difficulty learning to read or interpret words, letters, and other symbols. Programs attempt to end as much of the distress associated with dyslexia as possible. Upcoming programs, the Wilson Language Program for example, are doing their best to begin working with children at an early age who show mild signs of this common problem. Catching dyslexia earlier in life provides greater assurance that the child's future will have few or no setbacks or disadvantages to achievement. In order to improve the regressive literacy of people with dyslexia, the Wilson language program is gradually implemented in the mainstream school to ensure that reading standards are met, through structure, hours of research, abundant practice and solid evidence. The Wilson language arts program is precisely structured to function as an intervention and is capable of helping struggling readers in grades two through twelve learn word construction by directly asking students to decode and encode in full trust.
