  • Essay / The debate between religions and science - 852

The debate between religions and science has taken a lot of time and consumed scientific and religious efforts. Each side has its own evidence and they are all strong. But if you look at them with your attention, you will find that there is no conflict between them! I mean science supports religion and, on the other hand, religion supports science. It is clear in my religion – Islam – that everything mentioned in the Quran (the Holy Book) must be correct. Although this is incredible today, it will be a reality in the future. This is because we – Muslims – believe that the Quran was written by Allah (God), and He undoubtedly knows everything that exists in the universe because He created it. Right now you may be thinking about some facts mentioned in the Quran, don't think so. I'm going to go over a few facts that might give you pause for the rest of the year. Let's start with the moon. It is written in the Quran 1400 years ago that the moon was divided into two parts and they were reunited again. Believe it or not, recently NASA discovered this miraculous fact and called it The Lunar Rill. Also regarding the moon, the Quran tells us that the moon was converted many times until it became like an old dead trunk, which means that there is no more water on it. As scientists say, there is no life without water. We can therefore deduce that there is no life on the Moon, as astronomy declared in the last century. It’s worth an hour of reflection, isn’t it? Moving from the moon to the sea, as Allah said in the Quran: “He left free the two bodies of flowing water meeting each other, Between them there is a barrier which they do not transgress. I want you to remember these beautiful sea photos taken from the sky with amazing colorful parts. Can you see the barriers between the different colored parts of the water? In 1876, geologists discovered that these colors referred to different water temperatures and salt proportions and, therefore, different water characteristics. The miracle is that even if two or more different parts of water meet, they never mix! This deserves a day of reflection, doesn't it? The fetus, the complicated beginning of the human being, has been mentioned scientifically in the Quran. He mentions that the creation of a human being is accomplished through many stages, starting with the semen as Allah said: "We created man from a quintessence (of clay), then We placed it like (a drop of) sperm, in a resting place, firmly fixed.
