During the term, I feel that I have progressed somewhat. I gained a lot of knowledge about rhetorical strategies and how to present arguments effectively. In the writings I have written, I feel that each writing contributes to achieving the objectives of the course. Logos, ethos, and pathos are strategies and ideas that we have been introduced to (if not already in the past) and relied on throughout the term. The knowledge gained during the quarter was not just about these three types of calls. Rhetorical strategies such as propositions helped reinforce the course and using rhetorical analysis in different situations became easier throughout the term. I believe I have made enough progress to become a better writer this way. My first major writing during the term was shaky and quite uncertain in some areas. The autobiographical article discussed my life and how certain elements would represent parts of me or who I am in general. As this was the first major assignment, my use of rhetorical strategies was vague and uncertain. From small to large, from simple to complex, from literal to abstract. This Cornell box would represent who I am as a person, who I see myself, and who I am in the world” (Ngo Autobio 1). I was trying to analyze myself rhetorically using the box in the manner cited above and although I got off to a good start, the rest of the writing failed to address much of the objective of the course. As the quarter went on, I learned a lot more about strategies and simpler things middle of paper......Ngo, Jullie U. "Autobiographical Cornell Box Paper" March 09, 2011Ngo, Jullie U.
