Feed by MT Anderson is a science fiction novel for ADULTS about a future world where a new technology, called Feed, is implanted in your brain. Feed was a boring and uninteresting book that should not be added to the already rigorous English curriculum for 9th graders. The program includes other novels such as Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare and To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I am writing to parents, teachers and school administrators because they have the ability to make the right choice for our students. I think that the book Feed should not be adopted into the English curriculum for freshmen, because it sets a bad example for students, it teaches children very little, and it is not practical for students of 9th grade. One of my main arguments against Feed is that it sets a bad example for students. Many 9th grade students have recently been exposed to many bad influences such as marijuana, alcohol, and other illegal substances that can be easily acquired.
