    What would the world be without social networks? Imagine a day without logging into the world's most popular social network, Facebook, without updates from your friends, without anything to "like", without common interest groups, without birthday reminders, without games to enjoy, Nothing. Imagine a day without Twitter, a social network known for its 140-character ads. Tweets, retweets, follows, hash tags and trending topics would be non-existent terms. There wouldn't be instant updates from friends or anything to ask you "What's going on?" Imagine the world today without YouTube. There would be no website full of videos to download or watch for information, entertainment or education. Today's famous artists discovered on YouTube, such as Justin Bieber and Charice Pempengco, would not be where they are today. Life would be different. Since 2009, one of the most popular social networking sites, MySpace, has reached over 184.1 million users (Oliva 12). Other leading social networks, such as Facebook and Twitter, also have millions of users. This growing number of users demonstrates the impact of social networks. Thus, social media has changed the way the world communicates and calls for society to adapt to the world's constant technological advancements. A social network is defined as “an Internet-based tool that allows the reader to interact with the writer or with an online community.” and in public.
