    We have all, at some point, grabbed a camera, gathered our friends and tried to make a film. I remember doing this a lot in second grade. Sometimes I still do it! Making a professional film is very different from a small homemade film. Amateur films are shot in a home or in public, while a professional film is mostly made in a studio. Additionally, professional films require a lot of lighting and editing, while amateur films are usually filmed without some professional editing and lighting. Finally, professional films require a lot of money, while home videos are generally not very expensive. First there is the stage called pre-production, before the film is made. This includes planning, budgeting, and finding people. A rough script is first created for the film. Then, a scenario is created. A screenplay is a step-by-step production of drawings showing in detail what the film will look like and how things will happen. Once the screenplay is completed, the script is broken down, polished and locked down for the final script. Now comes the planning of making the actual film....
