Essay / Career Philosophy: My Life Philosophy - 933
Coaching Philosophy Growing up, my grandparents always told me to respect my elders and others around me. They believe in disciplining their children and grandchildren. Hard work and effort were two things my grandparents made sure I learned and applied in my daily life. I also learned how to acquire qualified training that will help me maintain a job of my choice. My grandparents made sure I was on the right path to success. To me, success is about achieving the goals you set for yourself in life and being able to survive at a high level in this world. Everything I learned from my grandparents helped me develop my life philosophy and I think some of these lessons will play a big role in my coaching philosophy. How I see my training philosophy at present, the first thing my athlete must do is gain education, respect his environment and opponents, self-discipline, work hard and most of between them know that they will succeed. This is the most important thing to get because without education my athletes will not be able to move to the next level well prepared or may not be able to play at the next level. Many coaches told their athletes to get good grades or they wouldn't play on the field or court. Unfortunately, many fail at this task because too many athletes believe that a C average is a good grade. For me, a C average is barely good enough, which in most school policies is the minimum average an athlete can get to play. My athletes will be held to higher standards, meaning if they have a C average in any subject, they will not train. Instead, they will study the subject they are struggling in and makeup practice will be a long time running...... middle of paper ...... There is another saying that the Practice makes perfect, which I agree, because the more you know, the better the results. As I said before, to me success is about achieving the goals you set for yourself and being able to survive. On a feline level, success means dominating your opponent mentally, physically and emotionally, regardless of the outcome, but winning would make success much more enjoyable. My coaching philosophy will be well known to the athletes, school, parents and community, so no one will. be able to explain to me how to coach at a high level. I know I may have to adapt as I learn the game more and am around certain people. I will ensure that everyone respects my authority over the athletes I coach, as I will not be seen as a dictator, but as a coach who expects his athletes to learn and succeed in all aspects and levels of life..
