  • Essay / Dracula, by Bram Stoker - 904

In 1897, Bram Stoker released the jewel of the 20th century: his vampire epic Dracula. Ever since Dracula, Transylvania and castles became associated with vampirism, the world has become "bloody". There are slight deviations from the novel, but the majority of them are quite biased towards the novel. Views of the world show Dracula as an old man with a new face. The creation of Bram Stoker's Dracula was the crucible of recreations and incarnations of the world's deadliest blood-sucking vampire, Count Dracula. On a bumpy train ride to the quiet and picturesque landscape of Transylvania, a man named Jonathan Harker is about to visit her. one of his boss's clients, a man named Count Dracula. Upon his arrival, Jonathan agrees to “come freely”. Go there safely; and leaves something of happiness…” (Stoker 23). But little by little, Jonathan realizes that he is becoming a prisoner in the Count's castle, and that his host is a vampire! Finally, after surviving three months in the castle, Jonathan escapes with his dear life. He returns to London and assembles a group to defeat the "devil" and rid the world of evil. The murder of Count Dracula greatly diminishes the evil of the world, but not completely. The reason is that Satan (or a satanic figure) can never completely disappear. He will come back to haunt us with his dark power. This is an interesting perspective when you think about the real “Devil”. When Bram Stoker wrote Dracula, he “based his vampire on a real historical figure. Stoker's model was Vlad IV Dracula. The name Dracula means "Devil" in Romanian. Vlad was a terrible person, known as "the Impaler" ("Vlad Dracula"). It's a nice name for a terrible tyrant. In the vampire novel Dracula... middle of paper ...... huge hit with the crowds. Gary Oldman became famous for his portrayal of the Count. The fine details of this character make him a huge hit with fans. In the late 90s, the vampire era slowly collapsed. But miraculously, in 2008, Twilight was released to a wide audience and the vampire epic was brought back to its old fashion, with a new theme coming for the future generation: the love between humans and vampires. Count Dracula is written into vampire history and lasts to this day. He is now undoubtedly the most famous vampire in the world. Count Dracula is the lasting legacy that Bram Stoker leaves on this Earth. Even to this day, he is never able to hide from the aura of vampirism and fear he leaves behind today. At the dawn of the vampire age, Bram Stoker's Dracula lit the fire of vampire culture that continued to grow into the 21st century..
