Income parity is the people's rights concept that everyone should receive the same pay for the same amount of work. In order to guarantee these underlying individual rights, many labor rights have been defined. However, even though these labor rights have long been established, the situation remains problematic due to the income gap between women and men. A low percentage such as 3-4% would incentivize work for work's sake, but the severe income disparity seen in many countries is causing global concern. Although the IMF has indicated that "increasing inequality should not be considered an indicator of economic decline", economists and scientists fear that such income disparity could cause a social, political and economic problem. Aware of the need to narrow income disparities, the ILO (International Trade Union) created a Convention on Equal Pay whose aim is to widen the income gap between men and women. The role of the Equal Pay Convention is to establish international laws, regulate discrimination related to gender, gender and many other factors, and take positive action to combat this problem . Its ineffective measures to reduce the income gap between men and women clearly suggest the need for more precise and concrete measures. Income parity between men and women would imply that, over a period of time, men and women are equally respected in a society.
