It seems that having a two-income family contributes to greater financial stability, but with young children, more bills, and a cost of living that increases every year for the present and future, it can be stressful for couples. The saying that the more you earn, the more they take, not only speaks to what the government takes, but people tend to spend instead of save. People generally want to keep track of what their neighbors have, which can cause friction within the family. Sometimes it's easier to buy what you want rather than meeting the family's needs. Dual income can be double-edged
