The magazine ad I'm going to analyze is from the May 2018 issue of Elle UK. The magazine cover shows Winnie Harlow wearing Gucci. Harlow is a role model, activist and inspiration. Harlow promotes equality because she suffers from a rare skin condition called vitiligo. She was bullied by her peers and considered inferior because she was not what society would call a beautiful woman. The bullying became so bad that she was pulled out of school in a dragging manner, instead she was homeschooled. Harlow’s career as a model started because she was in the television series called “America’s Next Top Model”. Harlow wants people to be themselves. Harlow has a Ted Talk called “How I Define Beauty,” which talks about how she discovers beauty everywhere. The advertising in the magazine is also stimulating in my opinion.
