Unfortunately, this problem remains common and women continue to face disadvantages in the opportunities they do and do not have in a work environment . Government and non-governmental organizations have been working towards gender equality for decades, but the process has been slow. Currently, women still earn less than men and struggle to advance in their careers. However, due to the expansion of women's rights to maternity leave and family-friendly working hours, men now face difficulties in being able to benefit from the same option. The Gender Equality at Work Act (Cth) 2012 aims to address current issues and focuses on equal pay between men and women. It is important that men and women have the right to equal pay, benefits, and treatment at work of equal value because diversity is an encouraging business ethos and empowers both men and women for what they are doing in these areas. Work must be recorded as a quality of effort and efficiency, regardless of the sex that performed it. The “value” of a job has no legal value
