In 2015, the employment rate for young adults with a bachelor's degree was 89%, while that of young adults who only earned a high school diploma and not pursuing a college education was 67%. A college degree isn't useless, especially if it's going to help you achieve greater things in life. People often wonder if it's really necessary to have a college degree, but they shouldn't just look at it as a degree. Obtaining a degree can help us get better job opportunities, meet diverse people, and improve our personal lives. Job opportunities will flow in and out of our homes with a college degree. Many people will say that as individuals we don't need a degree to get a well paying job, all we need is luck. This has some truth to it, it's luck, but why not come prepared with something that you know will help your resume stand out from the rest.
