As a teacher, I want to increase students' motivation, build a foundation for the rest of their lives, and also increase their love for learning. By truly loving what I teach and being passionate about what I teach, students will become more enthusiastic about learning. I will also use real-life examples and current events whenever possible. Many students are better able to connect with content when it relates to something happening in the present moment or an event that feels realistic to them. My teaching philosophy is strongly focused on learning theories. Every student has the ability to succeed and as a teacher, I will help every student succeed. In my classroom I will use a variety of teaching styles and assessments from written exams, individual and group projects, oral exams and papers. When students succeed, they are more motivated. To help all students with a variety of learning styles, I will use a variety of teaching styles ranging from hands-on activities, lectures, PowerPoint presentations, projects, peer teaching and activities pair thinking and sharing. When students are able to learn using the learning style that suits them best, they feel more comfortable and enthusiastic about the subject.
