It is very easy to understand the different themes and storylines and it is also very educational and shows you how different stereotypes affect different people and their families. There are many different themes in the film. The main storyline of the film shows how two very young and courageous women fight to play the sport they love (football). They too, the young girls, had many obstacles along the way, both with their families and the people they hung out with. Both girls overcame this big stereotype that football is a man's sport. In the film, we also saw two very different cultures. Jess is an Indian girl and her parents wanted a more Indian life for her where she marries an Indian man and does all the cooking, cleaning and laundry, all the work that was thought to be "women's work". For Jess, this wasn't the life she wanted. Jess wanted to play the game she loves. Jess's family definitely stopped her from doing what she loved to do because of her Indian culture. Overall, I think this movie is very easy to follow and has some great twists and turns. I love how both girls were able to go play for a semi-pro soccer team. There are many different twists and turns in the film's storyline. all of this affects individual characters in different ways. The storyline was good and always kept me interested in what happens next. I asked a few people and they agreed that this scenario is interesting and also keeps you guessing. All the actors in the film played their roles very well. I believe each actor embodied their character and did a great job achieving it. The main character, Jess, did a great job of making me feel like she actually wanted to play soccer with her parents playing the supporting role to stop her from playing soccer. Conflict in a film is important because it adds to the film and makes it much more interesting. Joe Jess' soccer coach plays a credible role who supports Jess in her efforts to become a competent soccer player, often challenging her parents on why she should lead an Indian life.
