    Food is the most common thing that can be found in the world these days. Yet they are the most loved things in the world. If we look at our foods these days, people would just be busy wolfing down their foods. They would never expect the history of food that has developed over several centuries. In comparison to modern times and medieval times, you will find a plethora of differences. The medieval era had an impact on many of our food cultures, such as table manners and the hygiene of our food. The medieval period also had a different method of cooking than our current style of cooking. The methods were baking, spit roasting, boiling, smoking, salting and frying. The cooking method actually depends on where one lived. Myriads of lower classes lived in villages in a poor hut. Rich upper class nobles lived in a castle or large house. The nobles' household had excellent kitchens served by numerous servants. The kitchen was located on the ground floor. They had a sink and drain water supply, cooking ovens and a huge fireplace for smoking and roasting food. The kitchens were built against the curtain wall of the castle, which was connected to rooms called the butter dish. Butter was used to store and distribute drinks, especially beer. The person who took care of the butter was called the butler. Next to the butter shop there was another room called the bottle room, this was a place where wine and other expensive provisions were kept. It was usually located between the great hall and the kitchen. Obviously, the cooking method was limited for the lower classes as they did not have materials to procure unlike the wealthy nobles. Food in the Middle Ages changed significantly from ...... paper average ...... good and today seems to be a huge gap. However ; if we look at its history, we can learn from some of the most interesting and unique facts. Middle-aged people had restricted classes and food was one of the things that was restricted. Nowadays, money is the only thing holding us back when we want to eat something expensive or not. Looking at the living conditions of a middle-aged person, they have done a wonderful job developing the foods we eat today. This has surely had an impact on our diet and the foods that enter our table.
