Comparison of Jesus and MuhammadJesus is the person considered to have a significant influence on the beginnings of the Christian religion. Muhammad is said to be responsible for the beginnings of the Islamic religion. I will present to you some key comparisons in the lives of each of these men. Some of these comparisons will discuss the history of each man and show the influence of their deaths on the two individual religions with which each is associated. Another point I will show is how everyone was and is worshipped. Finally, I will explain how their individual messages are conveyed today. Historical Life of Jesus A journey from Galilee to Bethlehem took place by a man named Joseph and a woman named Mary. This was because of a required census that Caesar Augustus decreed in an effort to record the world. The story told by many is that Mary, being a virgin and through the Immaculate Conception, became pregnant and gave birth to the child Jesus. This birth took place after the arrival of Mary and Joseph in Bethlehem and in a stable because there was no room in the inn. This was the fulfillment of one of the prophecies concerning the coming out of the Savior of Israel from Bethlehem. After following all required laws regarding birth and circumcision, Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus returned to Nazareth. Jesus grew up and studied in his father's religion. It was Judaism. All practices and...... middle of paper ...... They use the five pillars of Islam as the basis of their practices. Many festivals are also observed. They must believe in these teachings and develop their facets of life on them. On this basis and through the efforts of every Muslim, we developed what is achieved today (Fisher, 2005). Comparison I briefly touched on a few topics in comparison with Jesus and Muhammad. These men have similarities in their lives because the foundations of Christianity and Islam are linked. There are, however, differences from each as they had separate ministries. Jesus was the Messiah and Muhammad was a prophet. The roles respond to God's desire, but each in a different capacity and purpose for humanity's relationship with God..
