    1984 demonstrates a dystopian society in Oceania by introducing a relentless dictator, Big Brother, who uses his power to control the minds of his people and ensure that his power does not run out Never. Aspects of 1984 are obviously anchored in certain components of North Korean society. Since both of these societies are under the rule of a dictator, there are many similarities between the two. Orwell's 1984 film parallels the dystopian world of North Korea by depicting a nation that remains isolated under an all-powerful leader. North Korea deeply matches Oceania in being a highly militarized nation. Although decades have passed since the Korean War, there has been constant tension between North Korea and the countries surrounding it. Every minute of everyday life, the North Korean army remains armed on its border. Whether it's a South Korean or Chinese citizen trying to cross the border, they will be shot. This highly militarized state of society was influenced by Kim Il Sung, the tenacious tyrant of North Korea from 1912 to 1994. Kim Il Sung was so paranoid about intervention by other nations that he used the design of violence and war to keep outsiders out. or even North Koreans to leave. This strange feeling of constant tension between North Korea and other countries reflects a significant problem in Oceania. The people of Oceania must believe that Oceania is constantly at war with one of two nations, Eurasia and Eastasia. Big Brother uses the word war in the same calculating way to influence the minds of his people. “The very word 'war' has therefore become misleading...
