  • Essay / Factors Influencing My Moral Behavior - 739

Morality/ethics is the value and rules we use to determine what is right and wrong. In this essay I will show you how these concepts of moral ethics, followed by certain factors (such as religion, family, education) can generally determine my own view of moral behavior in society and learn balance between doing good things and/or bad things. Like all human beings, I am imperfect, which means that like everyone else, I make mistakes. However, as a conscientious moral agent, I consider myself an honest and caring person, generally willing to do the right thing. I am generally a good person; I morally try to do things for others, as long as I can do it without affecting myself or my family. For example, I have a habit of devoting time to the needs of others. But I started to think that I liked everyone too much and that I never had time for myself. As soon as I changed my point of view, my moral is now to think first of my own necessity and then of that of others. After finding balance in this matter, I feel more satisfied in life. One of the qualities I admire most in a human being is honesty. I am generally honest with myself, my family and others. I try to be honest because I want others to be honest with me too. For example, throughout the time and experience I have gained in life, I have learned a moral way that I do not need to lie; it's just about not disclosing so many details about myself and my personal life. This way, I close the door to people who ask me personal questions. Then I don't need to lie about details I don't want to share. I am generally helpful to others. I think this is one of the main reasons why I chose my major in human services. Ever since I was little, people always look to me for ...... middle of paper ...... braid. My moral in spirituality is to go to church, meditate on biblical principles, and apply them to my daily life. The moral person I am today has to do with the way I was raised. For example, I grew up in a religious family; my father is a very spiritual man, however, my mother did not follow the biblical guidelines regarding a wife. For example, she was very disrespectful to my father. I believe my father's moral principles have influenced who I am today. I am the eldest in my family; I have a brother who followed me and a younger sister. When I was a child, I always felt that I had a responsibility to care for and protect my brother and sister; this is the reason why I believe that I am a very caring person today. I generally consider myself to be a rational and impartial human being, willing to do the right things and stand up for my beliefs..
