    No relationship becomes intimate spontaneously, it takes time to build the relationship, learn the little details about a person and become more open to others. I have been building the relationship I have with my parents for 19 years now. Every day I learn something new about them or feel like our relationship has grown a little closer. It's the same with my friends. People are constantly changing and I get the chance to learn about those changes. Interpersonal communication is a process, because it also has no particular end or beginning. My brother and I are especially close since it's just the two of us. But when did it start? When did we get to this comfortable state where sharing personal information was easy and open? Some would say it started when he was born, but that is also inaccurate. Our relationship then was completely different from today and the level at which we knew each other then is also different from today. However, mishaps in interpersonal communication trigger an eternal process because it is irreversible. Once things are said, there is no going back.
