    Emiratization is the dominant topic currently in the United Arab Emirates economic forums and even in the daily life of Emiratis. The United Arab Emirates symbolizes an example of how rapid economic expansion affects the natives, as well as the economic structure and obviously tax policies. These changes are manifested in particular by the spectacular increase in the number of expatriates coming to work in this lucrative market. Conversely, the rapid growth of expatriates in the UAE eventually reduced Emiratis to an ethnic minority group on their own soil – a Middle Eastern version of Red Indians, as some might claim. Subsequently, this resulted in a radical approach to solving this growing problem through a localization policy aimed at empowering Emiratis in the emerging combative market and particularly the expatriate-dominated private sector. This essay will reveal the origins of the UAE's current economic situation and attempt to validate that the Emiratization policy is becoming only a quota system and not an effective solution.
